Julie Fowlis was brought up on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides.Her commitment to studying and performing Gaelic culture and music is remarkable. Asked by Disney Pixar, she recorded and produced the music for the Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA award winning film, "Brave." She was even invited to lead the Closing Ceremony of the 2010 Ryder Cup; an event watched by some 500 million. Julie has a busy career in broadcasting, and is involved in many musical projects.
